WHAT IS THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA TO JOIN CPL COURSE?

Educational Qualification: The candidate shall have passed Class Ten plus Two (10+2) or equivalent examination with Physics & Maths from a recognized Board/ University. Medical: Medical fitness as per DGCA standard.

CAN A "COMMERCE OR ARTS" STUDENT JOIN THE CPL COURSE?

A student, who has passed 10+2 from a recognized Board with "Commerce or Arts" subjects, should undergo bridge course in 10+2 with maths and physics from a recognized Board/University, to become eligible for CPL.

CAN I COMPLETE MY DGCA EXAMS BEFORE I START MY FLYING?

Yes, as per the new DGCA norms you can complete the DGCA theory exams.

Generally, airlines prefer pilots between 18 to 35 years of age, however if you have prior experience and you are below the age of 60 years, you may still join.

WHAT IS THE EYESIGHT ONE MUST HAVE? ARE GLASSES PERMISSIBLE?

As per DGCA requirement, eyesight should be correctable to 6/6. Glasses are permissible.

Pass in 12th standard from a recognized Board with maths and physics as per the norms of Association of Indian Universities (AIU) New Delhi. In addition, the student has to obtain "Security Clearance" from DGCA, which normally takes two to three months.

A CPL holder has the privilege of flying a passenger on board and seek remuneration whereas a PPL holder can take a passenger on board but cannot seek remuneration.

ANY LOAN FACILITY PROVIDED BY THE AERODYNAMIKS ACADEMY?

Aerodynamiks Academy does not provide loan facilities; however interested candidates shall be provided with supporting documents to avail the loans from the nationalized banks.

11. IS THERE A HOSTEL/PG/HOTEL FACILITY AVAILABLE?

There is no Hostel/PG facility but the same can be arranged.

What is Class I and Class II medical? What is the difference between them?

Class I Medical Assessment

Is the Indian CPL valid anywhere else in the world?

The Government of India is an ICAO Contracting State. Any Country which is signatory to the ICAO, the Indian CPL can be converted to that Country as per the rules drafted by the Regulatory Authority of that Country.
For example, DGCA is the Regulatory Authority for India, CASA for Australia, FAA for United States of America.

Can I join the Air Force with a CPL or how do I join the Air Force?

One cannot join the Air Force with a CPL since the Air Force has different criteria for selection and their training methods are very different as they fly a different category of aircraft and fly it for a different purpose from the one employed in training you as a commercial pilot. In order to join the air force one can either go through the NDA or through the short service commission. But for a flying job in the air force one has to go through the NDA.
